Wow... first level 80 in World of WarCraft in 27 hours

Repost from original story here

By Frank Caron | Published: November 14, 2008 - 12:40PM CT

Well, that didn't take long. Just over 24 hours after the release of Wrath of the Lich King, the latest expansion for Blizzard's beloved World of WarCraft, one player has already managed to reach the new level cap. Nymh, a warlock playing on the European Hand of A'dal server, has won the title of the world's first level 80 with a clocked time of 27 hours.

Using a specific strategy and set list of grinding locations researched in the beta, Nymh and a few of his compatriots managed to climb the game's new levels with relative ease. "I spent some time on beta servers and eventually found the crypt in Drakil'ji Ruins (Grizzly Hills), I think that's one of the only places in Wrath of the Lich King where monsters repop in about 30 seconds, mobs here are also neutral and it makes grinding a little safer," he told MMO Champion. "I also had to optimize my downtimes and decided to level with a healer out of party, Pavelomm was nice enough to spend the last 27 hours healing me without taking any XP and he obviously played a huge role in the process."

While others have made the claim in less time, Blizzard has banned a few players for using exploits on the way and Nymh apparently stands as the first legit 80.

Clearly, grinding through the content of a newly-released expansion doesn't exactly make for the most compelling game experience one can have. But you almost have to admire the dedication that went into this grind. It may be joyless, but it is impressive.

36 Boxer!!!

Ok, many of you know I multi box and have been working on my two taurens for the last few months.

I searched the internet and stumbled accross this site.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you.

This guy actually is playing 36 accounts at once.

"A lot have asked me, why create so many? The main reason is to invade Stormwind and Ironforge when they reach top level. I'm sure the Alliance will put up a big fight when that happens. We'll see how it goes. If they don't make level 70 before Wrath of the Lich King, then it will be at level 80. That is my main goal. That will probably happen after I've got some PvP gear from the battlegrounds. I'm also planning to do some 25 and 10 man raid instances but that is secondary to my PvP goal. Of course I'll be doing arenas too to build up PvP gear but I'm not expecting to do that great there because I'm way behind in gear right now. I need to get to level 70 first, then level 80 and by then I will probably have all green gear while most others have been doing the battlegrounds and arenas.

It costs me exactly 5711 dollars in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule. Not bad considering I'm looking at it like it's a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft.">

Here is how he does it...

International Talk Like a Pirate Day!

International Talk Like a Pirate Day (ITLAPD) is a parodic holiday invented in 1995 by John Baur

(Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), of Portland, Oregon, who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should

talk like a pirate. For example, an observer of this holiday would greet friends not with "Hello," but with "Ahoy, me hearty!" The holiday, and its

observance, springs from a romanticized view of the Golden Age of Piracy.

Here is some pirate language to use on ITLAPD.
"Bring me one noggin of rum, now, won't you, matey."
"Avast, there!"
"Dead men don't bite."
"Shiver my timbers!" (often pronounced as "Shiver me timbers!")
"Fifteen men on the dead man's chest -- Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!"
"There! That's what I think of ye. Before an hour's out, I'll stove in your old block house like a rum puncheon. Laugh, by thunder, laugh! Before an hour's

out, ye'll laugh upon the other side. Them that die'll be the lucky ones."
The archetypal pirate grunt "Arrr!" (alternatively "Rrrr!" or "Yarrr!")

Guild Event: Raid on Horde Towns

We had a great turnout last night for the first ever raid on Horde towns!

Thank you to all that joined to kick the hornets nest and get down with some old school world PvP!

We started in Cross Roads and took out the whole towns NPC's while a few lowbies stood around and then after about 40 minutes we had a great turnout of lvl 70's who wanted to get down with PvP the old school way!

<img src="http://www.nerdherd.info/modules/Photo_Gallery/gallery/thumbnails/1210891229_WoWScrnShot_051408_195120.jpg" ,width="200" height="150">

After getting outnumbered we moved on to Tauren Mill. Got very little response from the Horde so moved on to poke our noses into the Undercity. We made it all the way to the Royal Quarter and slapped Verimathras a little bit and then quickly got pwned!

<img src="http://www.nerdherd.info/modules/Photo_Gallery/gallery/images/1210891446_WoWScrnShot_051408_203846.jpg" ,width="200" height="150">

We then moved on to the little town of Brill, where we again attempted to kick the bee hive and see if the Horde would respond. They did after about 20 mintues and again outnumbered us.

Special kudos to Sivarthunter who won the event door prize at the end of the guild event!

Also a great big thank you to Kaisbaley for scheduling the event!

Happy Hunting!

15 FREE LEvELS

Ok we have all gotten these in game whispers from the annoying gold and power level sellers. Let me explain....
15 levels free? Well sure they will give you 15 levels but guess what? You have to give them your login information and password. Once you do that you are in deep trouble.
There companies create a level 1 character in every realm in WOW and begin spamming each realm WITH YOUR ACCOUNT. Now your account with have 100's if not 1000's of complaints against it (you). You will also face potential trouble with Blizzard cuz you are never supposed to give out your username and password.
Bottom Line:
There are a bunch of crooks and bad folks out there trying to get your information. Remember WOW is a game. No matter how much you try and power level there will be someone who is ahead of you so please try and be patient, take your time and enjoy the game for what it is.
NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD EVER EVER EVER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(well unless i ask you for it lol)

Swords > Daggers!!!

Wildcatfish has been talking smack about how his daggers are better than swords, and so we dueled with

nothing on but our hand weapons and loin cloths.

We dueled only spamming Sinister Strike and no other spells.

Result = He lost both times.

So Fish, you ready to get some swords???

Oh, BTW, Fish had Mongoose and Executioner on his weapons, and I had no enchants at all.

Horde Shaman x (5)!!!

I was PvP-ing in Alterac Valley and I happen to be guarding the Iceblood Graveyard. Along comes, what looked to be a SINGLE, horde shaman. I thought my eyes were deceiving me when his character seemed to be stretching as it moved.

Needless to say I thought I could take him since I hade (4) guards to help me attack him as I kept them healed.

I jumped down off the top of the flag pole and BAM!!! I was dead. I have never been one-shotted...EVER!!!

I watched him for a second and it was apparent, there seemed to be more than one guy following each other!!!

You can imagine how puzzled I was as I have 3-boxed before but never had toons follow so close that they looked like 1 toon.

I proceeded to bg chat that I needed help killing a shaman that had 1-shotted me. I was told that he was 5-boxing and that all the toons are the same build and wearing the same gear!!! I was told the only way to disrupt him was to FEAR him. Someone said his names in /bg chat that this is one guy playing 5 toons at once and is famous for wiping 5-man arenas.

This is just SICK!!!

So I got some screen shots as I died and wanted to share them with you guys.

There is also a thread on the appreciation of his evil doings here Blizz Post 5-boxer in AV (Reckoning Battlegrp)

Watch your 3, 6, 9, and 12 if you see him coming!!!
